STAGES OF THE REST FORM is part of my graduation project
THE WALLS WERE COVERED WITH CUT-OUTS
Focusing on the potential of the form and rest form to transform into another pair of form and rest form.
The chain of Stages of the Rest Form starts by taking a two-dimensional rest form and stitching it together to transform it into a three-dimensional object. After that, this 3D object is photographed and turned into a 2D image again. The image is then placed in front of a coloured background, which becomes the rest form of the next stage.
The process starts all over again.
There is a constant interplay of the form and rest form: form becomes rest form, rest form becomes form.
This is the first part of the series Stages of the Rest Form and resulted in a collection of scarves.
